Provides an overview of the medical aspects of claims, disability, rehabilitation, and medical cost control. This course is designed to help the student prepare for the AIC 34 national examination. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of property and liability insurance.
II. Communicate an overview of insurance claims in a clear, engaging, and interesting manner.
III. Demonstrate an understanding of the workers compensation system, how injuries are determined to be covered under the system, the benefits available to injured workers, how to administer claims and control costs as well as a general understanding of the medical aspects of injury claims.
IV. Supplement individual study in preparation for the AIC 34 examination.
