Course Description: | Presents the underwriting process. Students will identify the functions of an underwriter. However, the course will not provide the skills and knowledge needed to be an underwriter. No previous underwriting experience is assumed. The course has eight topical lessons which include : what is underwriting, underwriting as decision making, personal lines auto underwriting, personal lines homeowners underwriting, commercial lines underwriting, general liability underwriting, commercial property underwriting and underwriting results. The course supplements individual study for the Introduction to Underwriting exam. |
