Course Description: | Introduces the student to interior building systems and assemblies, construction documents and details, and codes applicable to interior architecture. Student will apply this knowledge to various graphic projects and is encouraged to produce projects using the computer and CAD software. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Organize and draw a small set of interior construction drawings (I-III)
II. Draft plans, elevations and details using industry standard conventions of line type and weight, lettering, symbols, material indications and notations (II-III)
III. Read a set of construction drawings including standard referencing methods in order to find specific information (I)
IV. Demonstrate knowledge of standard interior construction assemblies (II-III)
V. Demonstrate knowledge of building code requirements as they apply to
VI. interior design (II-III)
VII. Develop and draft a custom detail based on components of industry standard construction assemblies and constructions techniques (II-III)
VIII. Produce the course work using computer and CAD software (II-III)
