  Course Description:Covers the basic nutrition principles during birth-18 months. Examines breastfeeding/bottle feeding nutrition and techniques; introduction of solid foods, weaning from breast feeding or bottle feeding, transitioning to table foods and cup usage. Discusses common nutritional problems of the infant: special needs of the preterm infant, failure to thrive, diarrhea, poor eating, anemia, allergies.
