Course Description: | This Skills and Methods of Teaching Weight Training class is intended for students in the Human Performance Program. It is designed to acquaint the student with the basic skills, methods and techniques necessary to be a competent exercise leader in the area of resistance training. Emphasis will be placed on understanding selection of appropriate teaching progressions that relate to the weight room and fitness facility as well as the science of human motion and muscle/joint structure and function as it relates to fitness. |
