2. Add speed to a horse on a pattern.
3. Demonstrate focusing the horse.
4. Participate in local barrel racing competitions.

I. Maintain the basics of overall horse training while applying finishing barrel techniques.
A. Be able to execute basic maneuvers
B. Demonstrate correct horse body position
C. Correct use of training aids
II. Add speed to a horse on a pattern.
A. Maintain horses mind and confidence while applying more pressure to add speed
III. Demonstrate focusing the horse.
A. Expose the horse to different environments; coliseums, fairs, rodeos and other crowded places
IV. Participate in local barrel racing competitions.
