  Long Title:Basic Horsemanship and Equitation Skills
  Course Description:Provides each student with one gentle-broke horse to work with in the following: showing in halter; grooming properly; standing still while being saddled, bridled, and mounted; working on the rail; taking proper leads; backing and loping in circles, stopping, two-tracking, and opening gates. The students will also receive instruction in basic hoof care and proper stable management. This course will end with the student participating in the HTM Semester Horse Show.

         A.      Groom horse
         B.      Blanket and saddle horse
         C.      Bridle horse
         D.      Mount and dismount properly

         G.      Learn to take correct leads
         H.      Stop and turn horse


 TOPICAL OUTLINE:
