1. Maintain the basics of overall horse training while applying intermediate barrel tech-niques.
2. Demonstrate the proper barrel racing pattern.
3. Add speed to the barrel racing pattern.
4. Increase skill and technique on collection.

I. Maintain the basics of overall horse training while applying specialized barrel tech-niques.
A. Execution of basic maneuvers
B. Display correct horse body position
C. Correct use of training aids
II. Demonstrate the proper barrel racing pattern.
A. Demonstrate the proper approach
B. Demonstrate a proper turn
C. Demonstrate a proper departure
D. Maintain a proper pocket (horse – barrel distance)
III. Add speed to the barrel racing pattern.
A. Maintain horses mind and confidence while applying more pressure to add speed
IV. Increase skill and technique on collection.
A. Correct use of body, voice and hand commands to achieve collection
