STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Analyze each type of arrhythmia seen on an EKG rhythms in ACLS situations.
II. Evaluate each cardiac drug and its use in ACLS.
III. Demonstrate the ability to use ACLS equipment appropriately.
IV. Analyze several scenarios, determine the proper course of action, and demonstrate the application.
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. EKG rhythm strips
II. Respiratory arrest, VF, with AED, Mega VF with pulseless VT
III. bradycardia, Acute M.I., stable/unstable tachycardia
IV. PEA and Asystole
