STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Identify life threatening arrhythmias.
II. Recall appropriate algorithms in the treatment of dysrrhythmias.
III. Identify appropriate airway control for respiratory failure.
IV. Demonstrate correct procedure used in esophageal and endotracheal intubation.
V. Identify and correct acid-base imbalances.
VI. Explore the various pharmaceutical therapies appropriate in the treatment of cardiac arrest.
VII. Demonstrate correct procedures for starting an I.V.
