It is an orientation to the history and philosophy of human performance and the factors that influence its evolution. Special consideration is giving to the history of sport from antiquity to the present, particularly the Olympic Games.

 4. Discuss the issues, challenges, and future of human performance.
 5. Identify professional organizations, publications, and professional leaders.
