  Course Description:Continues HOS 122, Travel Destinations in the Western Hemisphere, and will complete the examination of the world. The eastern hemisphere, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and Oceania, will be studied from the perspective of the Hospitality professional.

 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 1.      Demonstrate an understanding of the regions, countries, continents, and bodies of water of the eastern hemisphere.
 2.      Demostrate a working knowledge of latitude and longitude, time zones, climate zones, trade winds and the ocean streams affecting the eastern hemisphere.
 3.      Discuss and identify cultural characteristics of studied countries including language, currency and, population density of the eastern hemisphere.
 4.      Discuss and identify climatic conditions and how they affect tourism of the area.
