STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the regions, countries, continents, and bodies of water of the eastern hemisphere.
2. Demostrate a working knowledge of latitude and longitude, time zones, climate zones, trade winds and the ocean streams affecting the eastern hemisphere.
3. Discuss and identify cultural characteristics of studied countries including language, currency and, population density of the eastern hemisphere.
4. Discuss and identify climatic conditions and how they affect tourism of the area.
