STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Demostrate the ablilty to think critically and analytically about countries, regions, continents, and bodies of water of the western hemisphere.
2. Demonstrate working knowledge of latitude and longitude, time zones, climate zones, trade winds and the Gulf Stream.
3. Identify and think critically about the cultural characteristics of various regions of the western hemisphere.
4. Identify the motivations of people visiting a destination in relation to the cultural, climatic, and geographical attributes.
