Topics include: acquisition, storage and access of medical data; key data management infrastructure and technical standards; and data quality and governance. Also covered are current and emerging government regulations, and their impact on healthcare providers and systems, and data acquisition and analysis needs and strategies.

 1 Assess current standards that are being applied to patient information and analyze impacts on healthcare practices and
    implementation of health IT in various healthcare settings
 2 Present and analyze effective and efficient techniques to acquire, store and utilize medical data in a Healthcare setting
 3 Identify secure and private techniques for handling patient information in Healthcare organizations
 4 Apply key infrastructure components and related technical standards as they relate to the handling of healthcare information
 5 Analyze the principles and methodologies underlying standards for healthcare data interchange regulations and practices
