STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Describe the history, variations and philosophy of classical Hatha Yoga.
II. Demonstrate the ability to perform and teach the wide variety of classical Hatha Yoga poses
III. Describe the anatomical structures involved and the physical benefits of each pose.
IV. Describe the stress reduction benefits of practicing Yoga, including the relaxation exercise.
V. Develop a series of 30 balanced lesson plans and relaxations.
VI. Demonstrate current certification in CPR.
VII. Ethical responsibilities of a Hatha yoga teacher.
VIII. Plan for a personal healthy lifestyle.
