STANDARD COMPETENCIES:

 

 1. Learn the names, purpose, use of and to draw the three Usui symbols

 2. Identify and discuss ethics involved in doing distance work

 3. Practice techniques for doing distance healing

 4. Demonstrate how to prepare a room and self before giving a Reiki session

 5. Complete a full Reiki session on another incorporating symbols used

 6. Receive a Reiki attunement

 

 

 TOPICAL OUTLINE:

 

 I. Review level one content and hand placements for Reiki

      a. Discuss sessions done since level one and results

      b. Questions since level one

      c. Review

 II. Reiki symbols

      a. Learn to draw and name of power, mental /emotional and distance symbols

           i. Practice drawing each and labeling

          ii. Use Power symbol to clean room and turn on hands

      b. Learn various uses for all three symbols, and when to use them

 III. Discuss ethics involved in Reiki and distance Reiki sessions

      a. Ask permission

      b. Setting intention

      c. Terminology to use and avoid

 IV. Practice use of distance healing

      a. Partner up and have students in different parts of building have one in class send 5minutes Reiki to other, switch and discuss what was felt

      b. Or have a client willing to be worked and have class send energy and discuss what they felt and noticed

         Then call or have client come in and discuss what they felt/noticed

 V. Demonstrate preparing for session

      a. Open self and hands with power symbol

      b. Clean room with power symbol

 VI. Complete Reiki session on another incorporating Symbols used

      a. Partner with another student and practice techniques learned

      b. Questions and sharing of experiences with hands on

 VII. Receive Reiki attunement to all three symbols
