Course Description: | Provides an overview of the role of visual art in healing. Includes both didactic information and experiential learning. Enables the student to learn how the role of art in healing has evolved over the years and to explore different models, approaches, and focuses of healing through visual art. A secondary goal of the course is to help students discover, through art, things about themselves which can enhance their professional work. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Describe the differences between open and closed-ended art activities.
II. Discuss the differences and benefits in using art for healing with both

IV. Assess the role of art in healing the mind, body, and spirit.
