STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Upon completion of this course the student should be able to; Disassemble an engine, measure all required parts to correct accuracy, identify reusable parts, grind valves and seats, reassemble an engine correctly, time an engine, time fuel injection pump to the engine, overhaul a roots type blower, measure turbo charger clearances, fabricate gaskets identify bolt dimensions, overhaul air compressors, flare tube fittings, repair air hoses, perform electrical system component testing and repair, read electrical circuits, symbols and schematics
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. Work on various projects pertaining to the units being studied in theory class.
II. Work on actual equipment that is available for training in the diesel shop, and equipment brought into the shop for service.
