STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
Students will demonstrate ability to:
1. File quarterly and yearly local, state and federal taxes for sales and employees.
2. Employ advanced management skills pertinent to a firearms shop.
3. Select and explain proper insurance requirements for a firearms shop (workmen’s compensation, liability, property, and risk management.)
4. Comply with regulatory agencies and standards in the shop.
5. Select proper accounting procedures as they apply to production: batch vs. job order costing, inventory controls, pricing strategies to remain competitive, and financial statement analysis and decision-making based upon such.
