Course Description: | This course instructs the gunsmithing student in the principles necessary to modify a Colt, Government style 1911 model (or its copies) into a competition firearm used in various shooting sports. Topics covered include: inspecting, troubleshooting, executing custom modifications using specialized tools, jigs, and fixtures, reassembly, and performing post assembly checks on Colt 1911 type semi-automatic handguns. |
