Covers building of custom scope mounts and high grade safety alterations. Emphasizes custom grinding techniques and high grade handwork. Includes demonstration of the surface grinder and toolpost grinder. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Discuss welding on and refitting a bolt handle for high grade scope clearance.
II. Demonstrate receiver ring grinding, removal of stripper clip slot and grinding of rear bridge.
III. Demonstrate machining and fitting of custom scope mounts, drill, tap and install.
IV. Discuss altering and stylizing after market adjustable triggers.
V. Discuss installing a two or three position safety.
VI. Demonstrate Stone polishing a Mauser 98 action.
