Features a super accurate varminting gun. Includes rebarreling, free float tubes, trigger work and match sight conversions. Covers custom scope blocks, gas fixtures, caliber conversions and gas port timing. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate the procedures and setups required to rebarrel service rifles.
II. Contouring for specific needs and fixtures.
III. Calculate dimensions for headspace and barrel extension fitting.
IV. Demonstrate ¿timing¿ of free float tubes.
V. Describe the differences in the gas operation, between the three types of service rifles.
VI. Discuss the specific needs of ¿National Match¿ and ¿service rifle¿ courses of fire and their requirements.
VII. Discuss gas port timing and caliber conversions.
VIII. Fabricate and fit a gas block and or fit front sight.
IX. Demonstrate operation of standard trigger group, match trigger group and alterations.
X Demonstrate special needs for custom scope bases and sight blocks
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. Barrel contouring, placement of fixtures
II. Fitting of barrel extensions and headspacing.
III. Timing of free float tubes.
IV. Fabricate custom scope bases and sight blocks.
V. Match sights, and alterations.
VI. Gas port fitting and gas block fabrication.
VII. Caliber conversions and magazines.
VIII. Trigger work and function testing.
IX. Finish practical application, custom rifle is ready fire.
