Course Description: | Explores advanced stockmaking techniques for one and two piece gunstocks of both wood and synthetic materials. Techniques in glass bedding, gun fitting, installation of custom hardware and finishing techniques will also be studied.

• Outline inletting techniques for two piece gunstocks
• Inlet a gunstock
• Describe procedure used in the glass bedding of a gunstock
• Outline procedures for advanced stockmaking including installation of skeleton butt plates, custom grip caps, custom forend tips and other specialized furniture.
• Outline procedures used in the custom fitting of a firearm to an individual.
• Discuss procedures used in the drill of a stock tang bolt hole.
• Outline advanced procedures used in the shaping of a gunstock.
• Shape a gunstock
• Describe how stock recoil reducers function.
• Describe procedure used in the inletting, repair or alteration of a synthetic gunstock.
