Course Description: | Examines various techniques for conversion of military rifle actions into customized sporter rifle actions. Bolt handles, safeties, iron sights, scope mounts, adjustable triggers, and trigger guard contouring and other custom conversions and accessories will be included. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
• Discuss and demonstrate bolt handle modifications.
• Describe and demonstrate custom alterations of recievers, magazines, and triggerguards.
• Drill and tap a rifle action for scope mounts.
• Formulate the proper sights for a firearm.
• Discuss rifle scope mounts and their installation
• Discuss and demonstrate bolt action rifle trigger installation and adjustments.
• Describe and demonstrate install a low scope safety.
• Demonstrate polishing techniques on military type or similar firearm.
• State requirements to be followed by a federally licensed gunsmith.
