STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
Students will:
1. Demonstrate shop safety and safe work practices
2. Demonstrate hand filing and polishing techniques
3. Explain and demonstrate basic metallurgy, forging, and heat treatment.
4. Demonstrate soft soldering, silver soldering and brazing
5. Demonstrate semi- precision layout techniques
6. Demonstrate how to make various hand tools, including stockmaking chisels.
