STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Upon completion of this course students shall demonstrate an understanding of metal engraving skills. Students in this course will consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Explain and/or demonstrate making and maintaining engraving tools and equipment.
B. Explain and/or demonstrate pattern design and transfer.
C. Explain and/or demonstrate cutting.
D. Explain and/or demonstrate stippling
E. Discuss other basic engraving skills and techniques.
