STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor.
II. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Explain and/or demonstrate how to make Damascus steel.
B. Explain and/or demonstrate how to forge Damascus blades.
C. Discuss safety during the knifemaking process.
D. Explain and/or demonstrate the heat treating process.
E. Discuss material selection.
