Course Description: | Provides an opportunity to learn basic maintenance and repair as well as accuracy modifications on the student`s rifle. Includes cycle of operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair, trigger work, rebarreling, bedding, and stock modifications. Covers law enforcement counter sniper rifles, long range match rifles, and varmint types as well as the M16 and M14 types. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Upon completion of this course students shall demonstrate an understanding of armorer¿s skills. Students in this course will consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Explain and/or demonstrate maintenance techniques.
B. Explain and/or demonstrate parts fitting.
C. Explain and/or demonstrate accuracy work.
