STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Upon completion of this course students shall demonstrate an understanding of benchmetal skills. Students in this course will consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Explain and/or demonstrate filing.
B. Explain and/or demonstrate layout work.
C. Explain and/or demonstrate forging.
D. Explain and/or demonstrate soldering.
E. Explain and/or demonstrate brazing.
F. Discuss basic metallurgy.
G. Explain and/or demonstrate heat treating.
