STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Upon completion of this course students shall demonstrate an understanding of bench and gunsmithing skills. Students in this course will consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Discuss operational theory.
B. Explain and/or demonstrate disassembly and assembly.
C. Explain and/or demonstrate proper use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
D. Explain and/or demonstrate bench work of the gunsmithing trade.
E. Explain and/or demonstrate minor gun repair.
F. Explain and/or demonstrate installation of firearm accessories.
G. Explain Federal Firearms Law.
H. Explain and/or demonstrate record keeping procedures.
