Course Description: | Focuses on the accurizing methods developed by the gunsmiths at the Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, GA. Rifles accurized by these methods have been sweeping the high power competitions leaving the traditional .30 caliber rifles sitting in the dust. Incorporates hands-on experience as students accurize their own M16/AR15 type rifle. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Upon completion of this course students shall demonstrate an understanding of accurizing skills. Students in this course will consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Explain and/or demonstrate techniques for accurizing rifles.
