STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Upon completion of this course students shall demonstrate an understanding of welding skills. Students in this course will consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Explain and demonstrate four welding processes:
1. Oxy/Acetylene
2. Shielded Metal Arc
3. Gas Metal Arc (MIG)
4. Gas Tungsten Arc (TIG)
B. Demonstrate fabrication and repair of small fixtures and parts related to gunsmithing industry.
