Course Description: | Covers conversions of both pump and semi-auto shotguns into tactical or race guns. Includes barrel length, sights, chokes, porting, forcing cones, stocks, and reliability. Enables the student to complete the conversion of at least one tactical or race gun. Students should bring their own firearms to class. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Consult with the instructor to select projects/tasks that will be completed to the satisfaction of the instructor.
II. Given performance tests, the student will perform these tasks with a score of 75% or better:
A. Discuss and/or demonstrate conversion of a pump shotgun.
B. Discuss and/or demonstrate conversion of a semi-auto shotgun.
C. Explain choice of barrel length.
D. Explain and/or demonstrate sights installation.
E. Explain choice of choke.
F. Explain porting.
G. Explain forcing cones.
H. Discuss stock design.
I. Explain and/or demonstrate techniques for increasing reliability.
