Course Description: | Provide students with the opportunity to begin their study in Ancient Greek. This is the first course in the sequence (101 ¿ 102) designed to help students to develop proficiency in listening, speaking, writing and especially reading Ancient Greek (Classical Greek)¿ the language spoken by the Athenians in the fifth and fourth centuries B.C. Learning Classical Greek will also provide students with the ability to read the Koine Greek of the New Testament. |

I. Comprehensibly reproduce the pronunciation and intonation of Ancient Greek

IV. Use appropriate vocabulary, grammar and syntax in writing elementary statements and paragraphs.
