Course Description: | Students will learn control and comprehension of digital editing and storytelling using various editing exercises, and apply these techniques to the creation of a final film product via Final Cut Pro Studio. Students will continue to use and gain mastery over audio, transitions, and motion graphics. Students will learn to manage workflows and the basics of roundtrip media editing. Other advanced features may be introduced in the course. |

STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
1. Create finalized products utilizing post-production system Final Cut Pro to create suitable projects for web and DVD distribution.
2. Apply film techniques outlined in the course using a final edit (final cut).
3. Analyze and design projects and production plans for a team or collaborative to achieve a unified product as specified by director.
4. Compare and contrast and apply advanced techniques in Final Cut Pro Studio to projects.
5. Analyze current industry techniques to incorporate into projects throughout the semester.
6. Devise options for distribution of projects for the web, film festivals and contract work.
