Course Description: | This class continues the student¿s training of physical-based acting techniques. Through the innovative techniques learned in Movement I, students are challenged weekly to expand previous trainings of performance and expression. Introduction of basic stuntwork will be illustrated and choreography will also be trained. Techniques that will be used include: Mudra Space Awareness, Five Element Acting, and meisner-based exercises. |

¿ Incorporation of previous 5 Element training with personal styles of movement
¿ Acquisition of greater physical range of dance and stuntwork
¿ Synthesis of metaphoric language towards character building and authentic actions
¿ Expansion of concepts taught in class by personalizing them and recording them in a journal
I. Development of movement safety and stuntwork
¿ Several methods used to develop awareness, such as:
Mudra Space awareness
Multiple dance styles
Basic choreography concepts
II. Expansion and physicalisation of metaphorical language used for greater character development
¿ Re-tooling personal relationships with everyday concepts:
a) Relationship to environment and self
b) Use of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture perspective for character development
III. Personal categorizing of movement strengths and weaknesses
¿ Through observation and partner system, the actors catalog of limitations are recognized and documented:
a) Control of movements; expansion of movement choices
b) Stylistic choices and awareness of ensemble movement
