Course Description: | This class is a workshop focusing on the directing process,
specifically: interpretation of the script, working with actors,
rehearsal, blocking for camera, preparation for shooting, camera
motivation and dynamics. Our focus will be on directing actors,
playable direction, script analysis,
scene breakdown and rehearsal, actor preparation, improvisation as a
tool and shot selection. |

¿ Identify a scene to shoot as a project and different elements of a scene that contains compelling characters.
¿ Identify the key moments and revelations of character and plot within a scene.
¿ Analyze the scene and characters to create a directorial plan.
¿ Cast and direct a scene for presentation to the class.
¿ Critique other student¿s directorial work and the work of the performers.
¿ Create a shot list, shooting plan and aesthetic base for the scene.
¿ Direct the scene for camera, and edit it for presentation
¿ Evaluate other student¿s work and one¿s own work for presentation of compelling characters.
