 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Demonstrate the proper procedures to install, fill and drain water lines.
 II.     Demonstrate how to make the proper electrical checks and connections.
 III.    Check and explain the complete operation of a washing machine to a potential customer.
 IV.     Students will list types of single phase motors used in automatic washing equipment.
 V.      Students will identify the different parts of the motors listed in #1 above.
 VI.     Students will list the causes of motor problems listed above.
 VII.    Students will demonstrate the proper procedures to solve problems of motors listed above.
 VIII.   Identify electrical components and explain their function.
 IX.     Check operational function of given electrical components.
 X       Demonstrate the proper method to service and replace given electrical components.
 XI.     Identify the different parts of a given automatic washer transmission.
 XII.    Determine condition of automatic washer transmission listed above.
 XIII.   Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot automatic transmission listed above.
 XIV.    Demonstrate the proper procedures in replacing and repairing component parts of automatic                    transmission listed above.
 XV.     Identify the basic components of the water system of a given automatic washing machine.

 XVII.   Demonstrate the proper procedures to troubleshoot the water system given above.
