 1. Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of shellac as a finish.
 2. Pore fill open-pored woods.
 3. Mix and apply shellac to a project using the traditional method known as French polish.

 I. Shellac: its history and definition
 II. Mixing flakes
 III. Surface prep:  sanding, pore fill, etc.
 IV. Traditional shellac application method (muñeca)
 V. Rubbing out techniques: high gloss or satin by hand or using a buffer
 VI. Shellac finish repairs
