STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate knowledge of the use and maintenance of various hand tools
II. Outline the history of some of the most popular tools
III. Create a project utilizing only hand tools
IV. Demonstrate cutting and milling using saws and smoothing planes
V. Mill to final sizes using saws, shooting boards, routers (not the powered versions), and scrapers
VI. Demonstrate joinery using chisels, routers (same as above), and backsaws
VII. Demonstrate clamp-up and assembly
