 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Describe Nodal analysis as related to discrete amplifier studies involving BJT and JFET devices.
 II.     Describe Mesh and Nodal analysis as related to operational amplifier studies.
 III.    Describe the ¿r¿ parameter equivalent circuit for the BJT.
 IV.     Describe the Hybrid-Pi equivalent circuit for the BJT and JFET.
 V.      Utilize the ¿r¿ parameters and the Hybrid parameters to assist in the development of the Hybrid-Pi equivalent.
 VI.     Incorporate data-sheet studies in the derivation of device equivalent circuits.
 VII.    Incorporate device, equivalent circuits in the determination of input and output opposition and capacitance, voltage and current gain, temperature variables and frequency response.
 VIII.   Incorporate Nodal analysis in the study of discrete BJT and JFET amplifier circuits.
 IX.     Incorporate Mesh and Nodal analysis in the study of operational amplifier circuits.
 X       Incorporate the use of DC and AC sources, counters, meters and oscilloscopes in the performance of experimental exercises.
 XI.     Perform experimental exercises involving BJT and JFET amplifiers to verify theoretical predictions.
 XII.    Perform experimental exercises involving operational amplifiers to verify theoretical predictions.
 XIII.   Exercise reasonable care in the use and handling of equipment, leads, components and breadboards.
 XIV.    Maintain laboratory stations in useable condition.
 XV.     Protect personnel and equipment through the daily practice of established safety and maintenance procedures.
