  Course Description:Incorporates field experience for students concurrently enrolled in DIT 121. Provides experience in a pre-approved nursing home or hospital setting. Emphasizes normal and therapeutic nutrition with experiences in the following areas: normal nutrition in the individual, nutrition education, nutritional assessment and care plans, principles of therapeutic nutrition, diet modifications, and quality assurance for clinical nutrition services. Students must meet health immunizations and carry malpractice insurance to be enrolled.
