STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Dress in a professional manner by following program guidelines.
II. Act in a professional and ethical manner.
III. Work as a team member.
IV. Perform clinical duties in a professional manner as taught in the dental assisting program.
V. Use proper dental terminology when speaking to dental office personnel and patients and when writing reports.
VI. Use effective communication skills as taught in the dental assisting program.
VII. Attend the clinical work assignment during all scheduled hours.
VIII. Complete the required 300 clinical hours in the clinical work assignment.
IX. Complete all assignments made by the instructor including the student internship report and student notebook (daily journal).
X Turn in all assignments on time.
XI. Attend scheduled clinical work experience progress seminars.
