STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Dance at an intermediate/advanced technique level in the jazz genre
II. Gain experience rehearsing and performing in a pre-professional environment
III. Understand the requirements and etiquette of dancing in a professional company
IV. Gain practical performing experience
TOPICAL OUTLINE:
I. Audition
II. Rehearsal
a. Learn various jazz dance pieces
b. Rehearse pieces for precision and accuracy
c. Remember learned choreography for entirety of the semester
III. Performances
a. Attend all required technical and dress rehearsals gaining experience and the knowledge of theatre
b. Perform previously rehearsed pieces in formal concert setting
