STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Identify the music and costumes for specific dances.
II. Respond to basic terminology.
III. Listen carefully and move to the rhythms of the music.
IV. Work to coordinate arm and leg movements.
V. Demonstrate an ability to follow a routine.
VI. Perform a specific dance.
VII. Demonstrate, while dancing, knowledge of postures, gestures and vocalizations associated with specific regional dances.
VIII. Demonstrate an appreciation for the dances of specific cultures.
