STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Demonstrate proper alignment and dance positions.
II. Gain a basic understanding of social dance etiquette.
III. Demonstrate proper hip motion, footwork and turns.
IV. Execute basic dance steps with different partners.
V. Respond to basic dance terminology.
VI. Increase spatial awareness.
VII. Improve body connectivity, core support, and spinal alignment.
VIII. Demonstrate in writing a basic knowledge of dance vocabulary.
IX. Practice footwork with and without a partner.
