STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
I. Acquire jazz dance terminology to include classical ballet and traditional jazz phrases: (pli¿, relev¿, en dehors, en dedans, battement, d¿velopp¿, etc.)
II. Learn spatial concepts using dance sequences (grapevine, kick-ball-change etc.) and turns (pivot, paddle, etc.)
III. Apply dance sequences to individual and group hip hop routines to include positions, locomotor movements, turns, walks.
