Focuses on user interfaces, program structure, language syntax, and implementation details. This is the first course in the Visual Basic .NET curriculum and serves as the entry point for other .NET courses.

 1. Create a simple application in Visual Basic .NET.
 2. Demonstrate basic programming concepts.

 6. Identify and Handle Errors and Exceptions.
 7. Validate user input.
 8. Demonstrate the ability to add to the user interface.
 9. Construct a basic web form application and invoke a simple XML Web service.

 11. Create, connect and modify a database by using ADO.NET.
 12. Set up and install an application.
