Course Description: | Introduces and applies methods for criminal justice and criminology with an emphasis on the scientific method and the role of empirical inquiry into criminal justice and criminology. This course will include the study of methodologies of data collection and analysis, the logic of research, the role of theory, measurement, sampling and research designs. Field research and the professional norms and ethics of criminal justice and criminology research will also be demonstrated. |
