 STANDARD COMPETENCIES:
 
 I.      Identify the objects on the Windows desktop.
 II.     Define file control commands.
 III.    Discover how to use the speller, thesaurus, grammar checker, and autocorrect.
 IV.     Identify and use the components of the Word Window..
 V.      Discover how to use the Word Help System to get Help.
 VI.     Identify the toolbars and menus in the Word Window
 VII.    Demonstrate how to attach templates and styles in a Word document.
 VIII.   Use a data disk and/or flash drive.
 IX.     Demonstrate how to move, copy, delete, and rename a file on a data disk or between drives.
 X       Create, edit save, retrieve, and print documents using Word
 XI.     Demonstrate how to use the format painter, bullets, find and replace text, changing margins, left, right, and center alignment, and paragraph indents.
 XII.    Demonstrate how to use cut, copy, and paste commands.
 XIII.   Create a multiple-page report using page numbering, headers, footers, tables, vertical alignment, table of contents, and tabs.
 XIV.    Merge files to create a personalized form letter.
 XV.     Create, format, and print mailing labels.
 XVI.    Create a telephone list.
 XVII.   Create a newsletter using WordArt, Newspaper style columns, Clip Art, Drop Caps, Wrapping Text Around a Graphic and add a page border
